Bhusawal town experiences hottest day
Jalgaon, May 3 (UNI) North Maharashtra denizens are experiencing severe heat wave conditions with Bhusawal town recording the hottest day of the season, with mercury soaring upto 48 degrees Celsius today.
The temperature continued to soar in neighbouring Jalgaon town, which recorded 46 degrees Celsius, and in Nasik the temperature hovered between 40 and 41.4 degrees for the last three days. The streets wore a deserted look at all the three places due to the unbearable heat wave conditions.
The load shedding also added to the woes of both the urban and rural population, with the rural areas bearing the brunt of the power cuts that ranged from ten to 12 hours.
Electronic dealers did roaring business and ice-cream parlours and juice centres were also largely patronised.
