World Dental Congress from October 24-27
Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) About 20,000 delegates from the Dental profession and allied Industries from all over the world would be converging in Dubai for the annual 'World Dental Congress and Exhibition 2007' from October 24 to 27.
A high level delegation, headed by Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the congress and Director General of Department of Health and Medical services (DOHMS) of the UAE, is currently in India to meet senior Industry officials to promote the Congress.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Al Murooshid said that the United Arab Emirates, and Dubai in particular, have always shared a close historical bond with India, encompassing a host of trade and cultural ties.
He said the Dubai congress, with theme of 'The Dental Diversity in the land of tomorrow' will be the single largest gathering of dental professionals and key representatives of allied industries.
''With the leading lights of the global industry coming together in Dubai for the Congress, the event is not only a proud moment for Dubai but for the entire region,'' Mr Al Murooshid said.
The Dubai congress will include seminars and workshops, with speakers from around the world. The scientific programme to run through for four days will also see speciality workshops and forums on oral health promotion, which will shed light on the latest innovations in dentistry.'' Dr Ashok Dhoble, Secretary General of the India Dental Association, said the Dubai congress will help promote oral and general health for all, whereas the World Dental Exhibition, running parallel to the Scientific Programme, will provide a unique opportunity for Indian delegates to meet leading manufacturers from the National and International Dental trade and industry.''
