Only BSP can deliver UP from 'jungle raj': Mayawati

Ballia, May 2 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today said only her party could bring UP out of the clutches of present 'Jungle raj', which has taken its roots in the regime of CM Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Ms Mayawati blamed the ruling Samajwadi Party supremo for the increased crime rate in UP and maintained if BSP gains power, it would restore law and order in the state.

The BSP president also charged SP general secretary Amar Singh with having accounts in foreign banks and assured of prompt action against him, if she attains power.

She attacked Congress saying that UP would have been prosperous if the party worked on those line, as it was only Congress that was in power for maximum term after independance.

Further, she alleged SP and BJP of having a tacit understanding between them to support each other in UP and centre respectively.

She said BSP is not 'anti-Muslim' and her ministry had maximum number of Muslim members.
