Night watchman killed in road accident in Samastipur

Samastipur, May 2 (UNI) A night watchman was killed and a policeman seriously injured in a road accident on National Highway 28 near Ballochak village under Dalsinghsarai police station area in the district today.

Police said a stationed jeep of patrolling police was hit by a truck from the opposite side near Ballochak village in which night watchman Dev Narayan Singh died on the spot while police personnel Devkant Singh was seriously injured and had been referred to Patna medical college hospital for better treatment.

The driver and conductor fled, leaving their vehicle on the spot.
