New uniform for Indian crew
Kolkata, May 1(UNI) Air hostesses on board flights of national carrier Indian will sport brand new uniform from tomorrow.
The crew roastered for flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore will be attired in crepe and silk sarees in orange and blue colours, official sources today said.
The highlight of the design is the chakra motif blending softly into the rest of the design.
The 'chakra', taking its origin from the Sun Temple at Konark, features in the new livery of all Indian aircraft. While the colour organge has had an association with Indian and signifies vibrancy, the accompanying blue shows a natural affiliation with the sky and aviation, the sources said.
