Mulayam wants to eliminate me: Dhananjay
Jaunpur, May 2: Janata Dal(United) candidate Dhananjay Singh today alleged a threat to his life and charged Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav with conspiring to eliminate him.
Mr Singh, who is contesting the polls on a JD(U) ticket which had an electoral pact with NDA BJP, told UNI that the Samajwadi Party supremo ''does not believe in democracy and is only concerned about the betterment of a particular caste.'' The sitting MLA, also blamed the CM for engaging Jaunpur District Magistrate Anurag Yadav for party work.
A written complaint has been lodged with the Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami, stating ''fair assembly election is not possible in the regime of Anurag Yadav.'' Mr Singh said his house was raided last night and his three friends were arrested after he lodged complaint against the District Magistrate.
He has urged the Election Commission for tighter security in all the polling stations of the constituency, which goes to poll tomorrow.
