Faizabad, May 2: Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asserted people have understood the 'anti-SP agenda' of opposition parties, which themselves did nothing for the development of the state.

Addressing an election meeting here, the SP chief charged the Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with hatching a conspiracy against his party, but doing nothing in the name of development in UP. ''people have come to realise this fact,'' he said.

''The three parties are only making hollow promises and can go upto any extent to get popularity. They have no strategy,'' he alleged.

Cautioning voters about the false claims of opposition parties, CM said that apart from staying in power for long duration, BJP, Congress and BSP did nothing for the welfare of the people.'' Lambasting the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, the CM noted that it was SP, which brought the Congress at power at the Centre.

''The Congress has been removed from many states and would very early face a defeat in UP also,'' he said.

Reiterating the party's achievements in the last three years, Mr Yadav urged people to cast their franchise for SP.

''No youth will remain unemployed. They will get government jobs, if SP retains power in UP,'' he added.

A general hospital and another cancer hospital in Faizabad were among the other promises made by CM.

''SP has always worked for the welfare of farmers. They would be provided free water from handpumps and rivers, urgent compensation in case of destruction of produce, if party's rule will continue,'' he added.

''Rs 2500 crore have been earmarked for the development of UP, which would be spent on the people of the state now. The party has made Uttar Pradesh an 'Uttam Pradesh','' he said.

Reiterating the party achievements, Mr Yadav said his party has always acted for the welfare of people, whether elderly, children or minority.

The SP chief flayed the BSP saying the latter was befooling the masses by selling the party tickets.

''In surveys, television-channels always show that SP is lagging behind, but which is not the case. The party will definitely win the ongoing UP assembly poll,'' Mr Yadav added.
