Man commits self-immolation after wife refuses to return

New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) A 35-year-old man allegedly immolated himself outside his in-laws' house in Patel Nagar area of West Delhi after failing to persuade his wife to return back home.

Kirti Nagar resident Heera Singh, a private contractor, allegedly doused himself last night outside the residence of his inlaws in Patel Nagar after his estranged wife Jaspal Kaur, who was living there, refused to go with him, said sources.

He was rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he died today.

Married six years back, the couple have a three-year-old son.

Jaspal Kaur left her husband due to his alchoholic habits.
