Magistrate's driver dismissed from service

Vadodara, May 2 (UNI) A driver attached with the local court has been dismissed from the service today under Gujarat Civil Service rule 1971 by the District Session Judge, Vadodara.

District Sessions Judge P R Patel dismissed driver S N Belim from the service following the departmental enquiry observation that his negligence had led to the death of magistrate C S Patel in a car accident.

The magistrate's car driven by Mr Belim had collided with a luxury bus while he was returning from Surat in national highway number eight on April 4, 2001.
