Loo conditions in MP
Bhopal, May 2 (UNI) Life was thrown off gear today in Madhya Pradesh where several places witnessed loo conditions even as the mercury climbed to a sizzling 48 degrees Celsius for the second successive day in the western region's Barwani district headquarters.
The Regional Meteorological Centre expressed the likelihood of isolated rain. While the maximum was 45 C at many locations, the minimum hovered between 27 and 28 C. Barwani has reeling under extreme heat for a week.
The state capital recorded a high of 43 C and a low of 27 C, both three notches above normal. Loo buffeted a few places in Hoshangabad, Bhopal and Ujjain divisions overnight. Maximum temperature at Shajapur was 44.7 C, Rajgarh 44.5, Ujjain 44, Guna 43.2, Khajuraho 42.2, Saru 41.4, Umaria 40.8 and Satna 40.2 C.
