KTA, ISTM join hands to offer tourism courses

Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Kuoni Academy of Travel (KAT), the education division of Kuoni travel group, has entered into a technical collaboration with International School of Tourism Management (ISTM), Switzerland, one of the world's foremost tourism management institutes.

Talking to reporters, Kuoni CEO Zubin Karkaria and ISTM CEO Hanna Rychener said three courses will be conducted, including a postgraduate course in travel management, a short-term course for tour managers, and an entry-level course for airline and travel agency desk staff. The courses will be held at the Kuoni Academy here.

The postgraduate and the tour manager courses will of one year duration which includes a month's stay in Switzerland. The fee for the tour manager's course is Rs 1.5 lakh while the fee for the postgraduate course is Rs two lakh. Fee for the three-month diploma will be Rs 49,000.

Only 20 students will be enrolled in each batch of the three courses.
