Human trafficking, a cause of concern

Patna, May 2 (UNI) Bihar state legislative council chairman Arun Kumar today stressed the need for awarness among the people to end trafficking of people from weaker section of the society.

Addressing a seminar here, Mr Kumar said a large section of downtrodden and illiterate often fell prey to the gangsters involved in human trafficking.

"Absence of strict law to prevent this menace was also one of the main reasons to embolden the traffickers'' Mr Kumar maintained.

He identified population explosion was the route cause behind flourishing of human trade in developing countries and urged the government to implement the population control policy effectively UNI
