Govt allocates Rs 270 crore for drinking water project
Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, May 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the State Government had allocated Rs 270 crore to provide safe drinking water in flouride affected areas in this district.
Inaugurating the safe drinking water scheme for 88 flouride affected villages at Charla Gauraram village, near here, Dr Reddy said the Government was committed to solve the drinking water problems in the flouride affected villages.
Water would be supplied for irrigation to Nalgonda, Ramannapet and Bhvanagiri areas, under the proposed Udaya Sagar lift irrigation project, he added.
