Four arrested for looting in Tapti-Ganga Express
Surat, May 2 (UNI) A group of passengers onboard the Patna-Surat-Tapti-Ganga Express were looted of three mobile phones and cash of Rs 3,300 by a gang of four people, hailing from Uttar Pradesh.
Railway Police Force (RPF) here today said the looting occurred on Monday night. The miscreants attacked four passengers and after looting them, alighted at the next station.
According to RPF sources, after a complaint was lodged, they started an investigation into the episode.
This morning, a RPF team found four pople moving in a suspicious manner on platform number 4 of the Surat railway station. On sustained interrogation, they admitted to the looting and were found possessing mobiles phones and cash.
The arrested were identified as Harinath Kashyap, Surendra Kashyap, Uday Kashyap and Rambhai Kashyap, all residents of Kamela Darwaja area here, RPF sources said.
