DUJ demands immediate setting up of next Wage Board
New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) The Delhi Union of Journalists has called upon the media fraternity for a concerted campaign to provide interim relief to newspaper workers, setting of a media commission and protection of journalism from vested interests.
Speaking at the 'Solidarity Diwas' celebrations to mark the DUJ's 58th anniversary, its president S K Pande said a charter of demands by journalists would be submitted to the Delhi government next week.
The meet also framed an 8-point resolution, which called upon the government to immediately form the next Wage Board for journalists and provide interim relief within six months due to the delay in its formation.
