'Coordination Committee to meet to soon'

Bangalore, May 2: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today said that the Coordination Committee of BJP-JD(S) would meet with in a couple of days to iron out the differences, if any.

Reacting to former Prime Minister and JD(S) National President H D Deve Gowda's statements, Mr Yediyurappa told newsmen that Mr Gowda has given a good suggestion that we (coalition partners) should follow 'Rajadharma' and should not cross the ''Lakshman Rekha".

"We will not oppose his statement as he has made it for the good of both the parties and will sort out short comings if any at the Coordination Committee meeting to be held in the next two days, he added.

He said he held a meeting with Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy today in this regard and decide to sort the problems at the coordination meeting.

On power sharing he said that both the coalition partners will run the government for 40 months and power sharing would take place according to the agreement and there is no confusion about it. "I am a 100 per cent sure of it," he added.

Stating that Vikas Yatra was a BJP programme soon after the budget presentation to revive the party, he said that it would correct mistakes if any during the Yatra.

He also blamed Congress for creating confusion between the two partners.

Mr Yediyurappa who also holds the Finance portfolio said that the loan waiver process had began and the time for repayment of cooperative loans by the farmers had been extended from April 30 to May 31.

A concession of Rs 25,000 on interest accrued would be waived off for the farmers who availed any amount of loan if they make the repayment of all arrears before May 31, he added.

He said he will hold department wise review meetings from tomorrow till this month end in connection with the implementation of the budget programs.
