New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) The BJP today lashed out at the Congress and the Left Parties for demanding the Chief Minister's resignation in the wake Gujarat or fake encounter killing and said these parties were suffering from 'Modi Phobia'.

Talking to newspersons, former BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu said both the Congress and the Left Front were in the habit of dragging Mr Modi for any incident in the state. There were so many 'fake' encounters during the Congress rule in Andhra Pradesh,Maharashtra and Karnataka. Why its Chief Ministers did not resign at that time? he said.

Besides there were so many train accidents in the UPA Government.

Had Railway Minister Lalu Prasad resigned? Similarly there were allegations of fake encounters in Jammu and Kashmir. Should the Home Minister resign? he asked.

Reminding the Left Parties about the recent killings in Nandigram, he said it would be better if the left asked its Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya to step down, instead of targeting Mr Modi who was credited with providing the best government in the state.

The BJP leader said that these parties should realise that the more they demand ouster of Modi, the more he would become strong, asserting that he would come back to power with more seats in the next assembly elections in Gujarat.

He said the Supreme Court was already looking into the killing of Sorahabuddin Sheikh and the party would obey the court's verdict.

The State government, on its part, had already taken action by suspending three IPS officers.
