BJP asserts Karnataka coalition is 'safe and stable'
New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) Soft pedaling the statements of Janata Dal (Secular) Chief H D Deve Gowda, the BJP today said that the BJP-J D (S) coalition in Karnataka was 'safe and stable' and expressed confidence that the transfer of power among the coalition partners would be smooth.
Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu without naming Mr Gowda, said that there was 'proper understanding' among the coalition partners at the state level.
Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had assured that the transition of power will be smooth and the BJP believed in his words, he said.
''I had talked to Deputy Chief Minister Mr Yediyurappa this noon after television channels started showing Mr Gowda's statements attacking the BJP and spending public money on temple trusts.
Everything is under control,'' he said.
My only appeal to the 'national leadership' of the J D (S) is that they should be more coordination panel meetings to sort out the problems, if any. The state budget proposal presented in the Assembly had won the appreciation of all, he said.
