Bharat Hotels Ltd, Nakheel enter into joint venture

Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Bharat Hotels Ltd, owners of 'The Grand' Group of hotels, and Nakheel, the real estate developer, today announced their joint international venture in Dubai.

The two companies are venturing to develop a luxury hotel 'The Grand Fort Dubai' at Jebel Ali, Dubai at a cost of Rs 475 crore.

Nakheel will lead the construction and development of the project, with Bharat Hotels creating the design and concept along with managing the hotel operations.

'The Grand Fort Dubai' will be situated at an elevated position in Jebel Ali panoramic views of new Dubai. The luxury hotel and spa retreat will be in close proximity to The Gardens, Ibn Battuta Mall to the west, the proposed Jebel Ali airport to the east, and Jebel Ali port to the south.

The 244-room super luxury resort, expected to open in 2009, will be architecturally inspired by the majestic forts of Rajasthan in India. All facilities and services will incorporate the very latest in hospitality concepts and technology - enhanced by subtle touches of India.
