A labourer dies in detonator blast

Jammu, May 2 (UNI) One labourer died on the spot in a detonator blast during the widening of a road at village Trikhlo in Gandoh area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Fazal Din, son of Perya resident of Trikhlo. The detonators were used for widening of a road at the village but one of the detonators exploded near him last evening.

Police has registered an FIR under section 286 and 304 RPC against the contractor Javed Iqbal Zargar.

The contrator, however, went underground after the incident.
