5 children drown in tank

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, May 2 (UNI) Five children drowned in a tank near Vishwesharapuram village in East Godavari district today.

Police said two children, who went to drink water from the tank, slipped and fell into it.

Following this, three more children, who jumped into the tank to rescue them, also drowned.

The bodies were fished out from the tank, police added.
