Three youth drowned in Cauvery river

Mysore, May 1 (UNI) Three youth, including a teen aged boy, were drowned in Cauvery river at Muthathi picnic spot at Malavali taluk in Mandya District of Karnataka today.

Police said that the victims have been identified as Abdul (18), Tanveer (20) and Abdul Mazadi (23) from Bangalore. The three victims had gone for swimming along with his two other friends when they met watery grave.

The bodies were recovered and handed over to the relatives after postmortem.

It may be recalled that yesterday two youth, also from Bangalore, had drowned in the same spot.
