UP: Student kidnapped in Lucknow

Lucknow, May 1: A student of tenth standard was kidnapped when he was on his way to school in Aliganj area of the State capital, this morning.

Mohit was going to school by a scooter with his father Purshottam Chandani-- a cloth merchant-- when three unidentified miscreants kidnapped him at gunpoint and took him away in a car.

Senior Superindent of Police (SSP), Lucknow Jyoti Narain told UNI here that the vehicle UP 46- 3665 has been identified and very soon the culprits would be nabbed.

Meanwhile the Special Task Force (STF) and crime branch of Lucknow police have been engaged to solve the case.

Recently two youths were caught red handed while snatching a gold chain from Mohit's mother Kanchan.

Police said checking of vehicles have been intensified in the city to get hold of the cuplrits.
