Raichur records highest temp of 43 degree celsius

Bangalore, Apr 1 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts(cm): Puttur 7.

Other chief amounts of Rainfall(cm): Karkala 6, Mudibidre 5, Mulki, Panambur, Mangalore airport 4 each, Jayapura 3, Subramanya, Afzalpur Navalgund 2 each, Udupi, Kalghatgi, Thirthahalli 1 each. Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places, being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka; appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 43 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.
