PSI suspended for filing FIR after four days
Anand, May 1 (UNI) A PSI has been suspended for delaying the registration of an FIR in a Rs seven lakh robbery case.
Acting on a complaint filed by an NRI, whose house was robbed of Rs seven lakh, Anand DSP D S Bhatt today suspended PSI A S Malhi of Mehlav police station, in Petlad taluka, 12 km from here.
The seven lakh robbery had taken place at the house of an NRI at Pittli village but the FIR was registered only after four days.
Similarly, the suspended PSI had not acted in time in another theft case at Bandhini village, a month ago. The amount in the second case was much smaller though, sources said.
