One killed, 25 injured in road accident

Machilipatnam, May 1: A 16-year-old girl was killed on the spot and about 25 persons, including 10 women were seriously injured at Jujjavaram about 25 kilometers from here tonight Police said a lorry carrying about 50 members of a marriage party from Machilipatnam to Vuyyuru lost its control and overturned. The nearby villagers rushed to the spot and rescued them.

The seriously injured persons were admitted to government hospital here.

Investigation was underway, police added.
