The MSEDCL representation to the MERC said the TPC should pay an interest at the rate of 18 per cent on the amount outstanding of January and February.

Non-payment of the MSEDCL bills, raised at its marginal cost to TPC, is adversely affecting the distributing company's finances and MSEDCL has been forced to borrow heavily, an MSEDCL statement here said.
