Mr Deve Gowda cautions Mr Yediyurappa

Mangalore, May 1 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal(Secular) Supremo H D Deve Gowda today cautioned Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yadiyurappa going against 'Rajadharma'.

Strongly criticising on the way of functioning of Mr Yediyurappa, who also hold Finance portfolio, Mr Gowda said that " he (Mr Yediyurappa has not matured enough to function in a Coalition government. He should learn from his national leaders like former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee as how to behave in a coalition set up".

Mr Gowda alleged that there were serious dissatisfaction among the party cadre as BJP leader have ditched them in local appointments such as in the schemes in those districts where BJP was strong.

He cautioned Mr Yadiyurappa saying that he should understand that it was easier to be in power facing wrath of the party workers.

Commending the efforts made by his son and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, he said that the Chief Minister was receiving thousands of applications during the Janata Darshan and Mr Yadiyurappa should make it public as to how many applications have been received by his party Ministers.

Criticising announcement of donation by Mr Yadiyurappa while participating at Cow Conference, which concluded yesterday at Hosanagar in Shimoga District, he said that being Finance Minister of a state, how Mr Yadiyurappa can donate public money to a religious institution. As an individual or as a devotee, he could make any donation to any institution but not the public money, he added.

Quoting the statement of former Union Minister and senior BJP national leader Jaswant Singh questioning the announcement of Rs 100 crore donation made by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Mr Gowda said that Mr Yadiyurappa should have read this remarks made by his party leader before making such donation, he added.

Referring to the criticism made by different political leaders defining his statement in different ways, Mr Gowda remarked that there was no need to give any special meaning to those criticism.
