Margaret Alva discharged from hospital

Chennai, May 1 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva was today discharged from hospital, where she was admitted for chest congestion on Sunday evening.

Apollo Hospital sources said Ms Alva was discharged around 0900 hrs after a keen observation.

Ms Alva, who had come to the city to particpate in the mass marriage ceremony organised by the party on April 29 at suburban Kundrathur, was admitted to the hospital after she complained of chest pain.

Doctors diagnosed it as 'chest congestion' and kept her under observation.

Ms Alva later left for Bangalore this morning.
