Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna turns 75

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna turned 75 today amid ''Maharashtra Day'' celebrations.

Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh his wife Vaishali were among the first to greet the Governor on the ocasion.

Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Minister for Protocol Ashok Chavan and newly-appointed Chief Secretary Johny Joseph also greeted the Governor on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Mr Krishna had taken over as the governor of Maharashtra in December 2004.
