Kripal Singh, associate of Angrez Singh arrested

Dehra Dun, May 1 (UNI) Kripal Singh, a close associate of Angrez Singh, carrying a Rs 50,000 reward on his head, was nabbed by the Uttarakhand Special Task Force(STF) team here today.

According to STF Team-in-charge inspector Harish Vohra, the Special Task Force with the Dalanwala Police on a tip off, arrested Kripal Singh from near Gandhi Park in the wee hours. He was with his wife, father and son. Mr Vohra said among five criminals who had fled from police custody, Kripal Singh and Angrez Singh were also included, who fled while being taken to Roorkee Jail from Roshanabad Court in 2000.

Out of five fugitives, Angrez Singh was shot down at Nagpur recently and his son Sona Singh and brother Mukhtiyar Singh was nabbed during the encounter. Harjinder Singh, another fugitive is yet to be traced.

He said Kripal Singh was involved in a huge of jewellery, and police arms. He also said most of the associates have already been arrested from Hanuman Garh.
