Govt clarifies coins of all denominations applicable

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Government today clarified it has not stopped the circulation of lower denominations coins such as 25 paise and these should be accepted by all.

According to an official statement here, certain organisations and other agencies were not accepting denominations such as 25 paise on the plea that the same was not in circulation any more.

However, ''the Government of India have not stopped circulation of any coin of any denominations and should be accepted by all and sundry,'' the statement added.
