Four murders rock Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar, May 1 (UNI) Four people, including two women, were murdered in separate incidents here in the last 24 hours.

Police today said unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire at one Ramphal of village Nala in Kandhla area, his wife Manto Devi and son Vinay.

While Manto and Vinay died on the spot, Ramphal saved his life by hiding in a nearby sugarcane field.

In another incident, the bodies of Santosh (50) nad his son Sonu (21) were recovered from a gunny bag at village Talwa Majra in Sisona area.

Reasons behind the gruesome murders were yet to be ascertained.

Investigations were on.
