Former MP Minister dead

Narsinghpur, MP, May 1 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Diwan rpt Diwan Chandrabhan Singh has died following a massive heart attack.

He was 55.

Mr Singh suffered cardiac arrest at his residence after midnight last night and was rushed to a hospital at Teyikheda where he breathed his last.

He is survived by his wife, five sons and a daughter. The last rites will be performed at his native village Imjhira this evening, his family said.

Mr Singh, who represented Bohani Assembly constituency in this district for two terms, was inducted into the Digvijay Singh Cabinet in 1997. In the second term, he was made Minister of State for Home.

Union ministers Kamal Nath and Suresh Pachouri, MPCC President Subhash Yadav and Narsinghpur DCC President Sunil Jaiswal condoled the demise.

UNI
