Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh dead

Narsinghpur (MP), May 1: Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh died late last night following a massive heart attack. He was 55.

Singh suffered a heart attack at his residence at midnight last night and was taken to a hospital at Teyikheda, where he breathed his last.

He is survived by his wife, five sons and a daughter.

The last rites will be performed at his native village Imjhira this evening, his family sources said.

Singh, who represented Bohani Assembly constituency in this district for two terms was inducted into the Digvijay Singh cabinet in 1997. In the second term, he was made Minister of State for Home.

Union Ministers Kamal Nath and Suresh Pachouri, MPCC President Subhash Yadav and Narsinghpur DCC President Sunil Jaiswal expressed grief over his death.
