Emco inks MoU with BTBECL, to manufacture transformers

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Emco Ltd today said it has entered into a technical assistance and know-how agreement with China-based Baoding Tainwei Baobian Electric Co Ltd (BTBECL) to manufacture diverse range of 400 kV class transformers.

With this agreement, the company will be able to cater entire 400 kV class transformer range in the country which are used by Power Grid, NTPC, NHPC and other large power generators and utilities.

BTBECL which is the largest transformer manufacturer in China has capability to manufacture transformers up to 1000 kV and has installed capacity up to 80,000 MVA per annum.
