CM denies AP police involvement in fake encounter

Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) Reacting to the Gujarat government's reported claim that the Andhra Pradesh police was also involved in the fake encounter of Sohrabuddin Shaikh and his wife Kausar Bi, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said there was no involvement of the state police in the case.

Talking to newspersons here, Dr Reddy said the state police had no role in the fake encounters that took place in Gujarat in 2005. They have not assisted the Gujarat police in the incident, he added.

The Chief Minister said the government would take action if anybody was found involved in the alleged encounter.
