BJP leader sentenced for six months RI
Mahoba, May 1 (UNI) A city court today handed down six months rigorous imprisonment to a BJP leader for violently attacking a government employee.
According to judicial sources, on May 1, 1997 Lekhpal of Revenue department, who was sitting in a bullock cart, and district BJP youth leader Chakrapadi Tripathi, riding his bike, had a heated argument over giving side to each other. On rage Tripathi beated Lekhpal and broke his arm.
Civil Judge (Junior Division) Justice Gopal Tiwari found BJP leader guilty of the crime and sentenced him for six months.
