Bihar govt committed to labour welfare: Nitish Kumar
Patna, May 1 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Mody congratulated state labourers on Labour Day today and appreciated their ''constructive role'' in the nation building.
Speaking at a function organised in this connection they requested all labour unions, social activists, Self Help Groups (SHG) to support the government in dealing with the menace of child labour.
Mr Kumar said the government was committed to implementing Labour laws and other various welfare schemes for overall development of the labour force in the state.
In an appeal to the SHGs, the Chief minieter urged them to come forward for successful implementation of various schemes for child welfare. ''It is part of our work culture to pay respect to the labourers'',he said and wished them all the success in all their future endeavours.
