2,000 pirated CDs recovered; 3 arrested

Chennai, May 1 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch police today seized over 2,000 pirated CDs and arrested three people in this connection here.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a special police team raided three video lending libraries at Tiruvottriyur, Ennore and China Bazaar and seized cds worth Rs four lakh.

The pirated CDs were that of new Tamil films 'Arputha Theevu', 'Parattai enkindra Alagu Sundaram', 'Nan Avanalla' and pornography CDs as well police said.

The arrested, Kannan (22), Kumaresan (34) and Moses Selvakumar (23), were remanded in judicial custody.
