2 kids drowned to death

Jamnagar, May 1 (UNI) A five-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl were drowned to death in a lake at Bamnasa village in Kalyanpur taluka of this district.

Police said three children were grazing their cattle near the lake. Five-year-old Ravi Raj wanted to bathe but slipped into the deeper waters. His sister Shweta (10) jumped into the lake to save her brother but was also drowned. The third child, Prathvisinh, rushed to the village and informed the elders about the incident.

The bodies of the two children were later recovered from the lake, police said.
