WS Q4 sales grows 16%

Chennai, Apr 30 (UNI) WS Industries (India) Ltd (WSI) today announced its results for the quarter ended March 2007 wherein sales stood at Rs 448 million, a growth of 16 per cent in comparison with the corresponding quarter ended March 31, 2006.

Apart from this, Profit After Tax at Rs 22 31 million had risen 116 per cent in comparison with the corresponding quarter last year, a company release here said.

For the financial year (April 2006 to March 2007), sales grew 12.4 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year (Rs 1,654 million vs Rs 1,471 million) and PAT was up 82 per cent (Rs 78.60 million vs Rs 43.20 million).

The profitability growth had been achieved by continued attention to higher price realization, more optimal product-mix and improving internal efficiency. Stable fuel prices during the fourth quarter have also assisted.

The company's order book is healthy with the current order book standing at Rs 1,666 million.
