Woman held for killing rapist

Gandhidham (Kutch), Apr 30 (UNI) A woman was arrested today for killing a man. who tried to molest her.

Sodalla, wife of Shiva Karan Votara, a resident of 'Cargo jhopadpatti' was asleep last night when 50-year old Virakaram, hailing from Tamilnadu, entered her hut and allegedly began to molest her.

In a fit of rage, she picked up a stick and hit it forcibly on the head of Virakaram. He died on the spot. The woman then picked up the corpse with the help of others and threw it away. On being informed by someone about a corpse lying around, the police arrived this morning and sent the body for post-mortem.

When Sodalla was taken in for questioning, she confessed to the killing.
