Three die after consuming poisonous substance

Indore, Apr 30 (UNI) Three people, including two women, died after drinking toxic substance mistaking it for liquor in the district, police said today.

Damoh-residents Umeshi Bai (48), Maya, and Bihari Lal (50), who were rag-pickers, consumed the substance last night and died early this morning.

Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh suspected that the toxic substance was coming out from a hotel or a petrol pump near a slum area.

Meanwhile, hotel sources claimed that waste material of the hotel was disposed off within the premises.
