Severe heat wave condition in Punjab

Pune, Apr 30 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Punjab and northwest Rajasthan while heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidabha, at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Hot day conditions prevailed in remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and at isolated places in southwest Rajasthan. Day temperatures were markedly above nomrlal in Himachal Pradesh and in remaining parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

It was appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, east Assam in some parts of Konkan, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, in remaining parts of west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.

It was above normal in Manipur, Uttaranchal, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and in some parts of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. They were below normal in east Orissa and south Jharkhand.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at Andaman and Nicobar. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himalchal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa and Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in north interior Karnataka and at a few places in Jharkhand, at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Aurnachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryna, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.
