Senior citizen looted

Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) A 60-year-old woman was today robbed of gold ornaments and cash worth lakhs of rupees allegedly by a maidservant and her two accomplices at Dongri in South Central Mumbai.

Sugra Sabuddhin Chunara, in her police complaint, stated that she was staying alone in a flat at Megji building at Dongri and had employed one Rabiya as maidservant, who was working for the last one- and-a-half month, police said.

At around 0030 hrs, the door bell of the flat rang. Rabiya got up and opened the door. She came back with two unidentified persons.

They woke up Chunara and forcefully confined her in the bathroom.

Thereafter, the maidservant took the cupboard's key and removed gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 1.39 lakh and decamped with the booty.

A robbery case has been registered against the absconding persons, police added.
