Sakthi Sugars unit buys European castings maker

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) Sugar producer Sakthi Sugars Ltd today said its wholly-owned unit has acquired precision castings maker, INTERMET Europe, which operates two plants in Germany and one in Portugal.

The company has finalised the deal through its subsidiary Sakthi Auto Component Ltd (SACL).

INTERMET Europe is engaged in the business of manufacture of precision castings in ductile iron for automotive industry, with a total production capacity of 1,65,000 million tonnes per annum.
