Public Health Foundation to launch Rs 140 cr project in Guj
Ahmedabad, April 30 (UNI) Public Health Foundation of India, which works for the improvement of health services in the country, will start a Rs 140 crore project in Gujarat.
Giving details about the project, Dr K S Reddy of Public Health Foundation said, ''Under this project, the foundation will run post graduation, Phd and diploma in public health courses for medical and non medical staff. These courses will be of one week to one year duration and they will train one thousand experts every year.'' Dr Reddy was here to participate in a workshop to train block health officers. The workshop was inaugurated by state health minister Ashok Bhatt.
According to Mr Bhatt, the project is being implemented as part of an MoU signed during Vibrant Gujarat Investor's Summit.
Those who participated in the project include Family Welfare Association director Dr Vasubhai Rawal, Dr Shiv Chandra Mathur from Jaipur and Dr Dilip Mawlankar of Indian Institute of Management.
