People will welcome second term for Kalam: Seer

Mysore, Apr 30 (UNI) There were no different views among the people at large about President A P J Abdul Kalam continuing for a second term, Udupi Math Seer Sri Viswhesha Theertha said here today.

Speaking to reporters here, he said President Kalam, who had vocally advocated revolutionary changes in education and pitched for country's overall progress, had earned wide appreciation.

His thoughts and statements on the important issues concerning the welfare of people of India were appreciated.

''If political parties take the views of people and come to a consensus on continuing with Dr Kalam as the country's President, we will be very happy,'' he added.

The seer was here to participate in the Thulabhaara function at Udupi Sri Krishna Mandira.
