One CRPF jawan injured in Kashmir blast

Srinagar, Apr 30 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured in a hand grenade blast in north Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said.

They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards the Road Opening Party (ROP) of 176 CRPF battalion near crowded Kunzer market on Srinagar-Gulmarg road this afternoon. It exploded on the roadside injuring the jawan who has been admitted to base hospital here.

Militants later managed to escape before security forces could seal the area.
